Capacitors are designed to store a small amount of energy for a short period of time. They can be as small as a grain of sand or quite large. Chances are there’s at least 100 capacitors in the room around you and you can’t see a single one of them. This is a shame because capacitors can be beautiful!
These amphibians are made with capacitors, inductors and resistors. If you were to calculate their equivalent impedance, you’d find that the capacitance heavily outweighs the resistance and the inductance. Thus the name “Capacitive Amphibians.”
