This General Electric model P-8 Volt Meter Nixie Clock is more than a timepiece—it’s a piece of living history. Built into a restored GE model P-8 volt meter meter housing and illuminated by warm, glowing Nixie tubes, each clock transforms industrial heritage into functional art. The blend of vintage instrumentation and nostalgic tube technology creates a presence that feels both scientific and sculptural, perfect for collectors who appreciate craftsmanship and character.

Every clock is carefully assembled, calibrated, and finished by hand, ensuring that no two units are exactly alike. The authentic wear of the original meters, paired with precision electronics, gives each clock a story worth displaying. Whether placed on a desk, workbench, or shelf, these Nixie clocks become an instant conversation piece—one that connects the golden age of analog engineering with the clean precision of modern timekeeping. For anyone who values design with soul, this is a centerpiece you won’t find anywhere else.

The clock has four user replaceable IN-17 Nixie tubes that should provide many years of beautiful warm glow. The time is set with three buttons hiding on the back. A quartz crystal oscillator advances the digits, and it keeps time about as accurately as a digital wrist watch. You can expect the clock to drift maybe 30 seconds every 3-6 months. USB-C powered. A USB-C power adapter, and user manual are included. This particular clock is unique because it does not have a serial number. It’s the only one I’ve seen like this, so I think it’s an anomaly. But it’s certainly unique!

4-1/2″ tall, 6″wide, 3″ deep. Digits are about 1/2″ tall.
