This piece is made from a scrapped silicon wafer that was probably near the end of the assembly line when it was damaged and scrapped. It was cut into the rectangular dies that I used to make this piece. The prismatic rainbow effect is caused by the hundreds of thousands of tiny transistors that are barely visible with a microscope.
